Selah Day Spa

A Spa Experience Unlike Any Other

RRest.  Health.  Relaxation.  Peace.  These are simply a few words describing the atmosphere that you will find here at Selah Day Spa in Mishawaka, Indiana.  Deidre Raynell Black, the owner of Selah, has found her life’s calling in granting others the gift of wellness and relaxation.

Originally from New York and having worked for several major cosmetic and retail lines including Saks Fifth Avenue and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Deidre is no stranger to the journey found in the industry of beauty and health.  She says that “this business found me” after a relocation to Michiana nearly a decade ago.  She had previously spent a fruitful journey for much of her young adult years traveling the country and venturing as far as Ghana in Africa, where she cultivated her appreciation for other cultures and worldviews.

The team of providers at Selah, including massage therapists, nail designers, and Deidre as Selah’s Master Esthetician, cultivates the understanding of our society’s current need for an escape and personal attention.  Deidre explains, “We care for our clients and listen to their needs.  We strive to build a relationship with them so that when they come here for an escape, they are treated with all of the compassion and healing that we can provide.”

Selah Day Spa carries and includes the handmade organic skincare line Eminence from Hungary in nearly every service offered, from facials to pedicures.  This line is well known to be organic and environmentally conscious, as well as incredibly results-driven.  Selah also utilizes the vegan nail care line from SpaRitual, containing no harsh products, and focuses on the health and maintenance of their clients’ nails.  The handmade soap line Napa Soap from Napa Valley, California, is available, as well as the beautiful and organic candle line Voluspa from California.  Take a journey of scent upon your next visit, breathing in the subtle but luxurious apricot and coconut wax candles sold in the spa.

Selah maintains the grassroots belief in remaining near its beginnings.  Both the company and its providers work very closely with community programs and organizations including Boys and Girls Club, A Rosie Place, and Bridge of Hope, Selah’s charity of choice.  Coming from the large city of New York to the metropolis of Michiana, Deidre acknowledges that she has learned a lot from the Midwest culture.  This visionary knows that Selah has been a wonderful start to an even greater future, reaching people where they are and bringing them to a deeper place.

The vision of Selah is always growing, evolving, and rising forth.  Selah is constantly hoping to achieve greatness and help  others to find a place of wellness and happiness amidst the sometimes chaotic nature of life.  Selah would like to be a safe haven  for those seeking calm and rest -- an experience and journey      unlike anything else offered in the area. ?

Selah Day Spa is at 301 W. University Drive, Mishawaka.
