Butler Winery, established in 1983, is the fourth-oldest winery in Indiana, but their retail shop in Chesterton is a recent addition to Northwest Indiana. The quaint tasting room and shop is located at the corner of Fourth and Broadway in historic downtown Chesterton, just off I-94. The tasting room is within sight of the city park where the Chesterton European Market is held every Saturday, June through October. The tasting room offers the complete selection of the Butler wines including both dry and sweet table wines. Butler Winery produces several unique specialty wines, such as Late Harvest Vignoles, Vidal Ice Wine and Cassis Noir, a fortified wine made from black currants. The shop also features a selection of wine-related items as well as home brewing and wine making supplies.

Greek’s Pizzeria has proudly served the finest pizzas and sandwiches in the Valparaiso area for forty years.

Owners Mike and Kim Karamesines offer only the freshest ingredients for their hand-tossed traditional and gourmet pizzas. New taste classics such as The Calabriese, The Texas Barbecue, The Vegetable, and The Bruschetta are but a sampling of their gourmet menu. Greek’s also has a mouthwatering selection of sandwiches to choose from. The Italian Beef, served best with a side of warm au jus and pepperoncini peppers, and the one and only Chickenboli. Greek’s own homemade exclusive secret recipe “Boli” sauce is what makes this sandwich!

Pop into Pestos for luscious dishes and a great waitstaff. The cuisine is both rustic and contemporary Italian, with a mouthwatering palette of fresh flavors. Pesto’s is family-friendly and inviting to couples as well. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet romantic.

Appetizers range from hand-breaded calamari to their award-winning bruschetta. Signature dishes are the vodka chicken with vodka cream sauce; veal Toscana baked with provolone cheese; Tuscan filet with Gorgonzola cheese; and crab-crusted sea bass in a lemon dill cream sauce. Check the seasonal menus for specials, like the prosciutto-wrapped shrimp skewers on a bed of cheese-filled sacchettini. But if you’re just in the mood for a sandwich or pizza, you’ll find a variety of those, too.

THIRD COAST SPICE CAFE

Indiana cage-free chickens provide the extraordinary eggs
featured in many of the unique dishes at Third Coast Spice Café. The café offers a sunny respite from your busy day. Breakfast and lunch items are prepared using fresh, local, and often organic products that are packed with flavor and
are light on the pocketbook.

Desserts are made in-house, and the gelato is from a small-batch gelato company in Michigan. Third Coast Spice Café has an assortment of coffee drinks, fresh lemonade, and a light, refreshing, caffeine-free iced tea called Green Zella.

They also do catering and box lunches. The owners of the café make a noticeable effort to preserve the Earth’s resources by recycling and using disposable products made from renewable resources such as corn, sugar cane and rice.
