Anyone who has raised a child, watched a child, or remembers being a child knows that kids PLAY.  That’s what they do.  That’s what Bellaboo’s is all about.  It’s recreation especially designed for children ages nine and younger.  Oh, and by the way – when children play, they happen to learn.

The colorful and imaginative center features 23,000 square feet of hands-on activities including a block play and construction zone, art studio, and a pretend supermarket, pizza parlor and kitchen.  There’s dress-up, a water table, and a train room complete with locomotive chugging along overhead.  There’s even a room just for toddlers and infants.

while the climbing structure, slides, and ball pit are the perfect place for energetic play.  Parents are happy that the ball washer keeps the area clean, but kids just like to feed the balls into the target and watch them travel across the ceiling before being dropped back into the pit.

DEEP RIVER COUNTY PARK
  
Wood’s Historic Grist Mill is one of the most photographed landmarks in Lake County.
Located in Deep River County Park, about 4.5 miles east of Interstate 65 just north of U.S. 30, the 1876 Grist Mill and neighboring Gift Shop are open May through October, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.  The buildings are closed on Friday, but the park grounds remain open.

The historic area of the 1,200-acre park stretches along the Deep River corridor for about four miles, with trails beginning north of the Grist Mill.  Just over the bridge sits Grinder Field, home of the Deep River Grinders Club Nine Baseball Team.  Playing by the original rules of 1858, the Grinders are an entertaining bunch.  For a truly relaxing, old-fashioned Sunday afternoon join the Grinder faithful in cheering on their favorite team.  If you attend only one ballgame this year, make it a Deep River Grinders Baseball game.

DEEP RIVER WATERPARK

Looking for sun, fun, water and excitement?  Look no further than Deep River Waterpark.  From toddlers to seniors . . . from tweens to teens . . . there’s something for everyone. 

Try our two river rides, three enclosed tube slides, body slides, speed slides, double dueling cannon bowl rides.  For the little ones there’s Paddle’s PlayZone with splash pool, slides, water play and sand.

TURKEY CREEK GOLF COURSE

The 18-hole championship length Turkey Creek Golf Course has plenty of water, bunkers, and multiple tees, offering a challenge to the most experienced golfer while providing  an enjoyable experience for the novice.  Lest you think that tee placement is arbitrary, consider that water, in the form  of Turkey Creek, comes into play on 12 of the 18 holes when driving from the white tees.  Using the forward tees takes water out of play on six of these holes.  It’s still a challenging course, but it permits people who don’t drive as far to play a different strategy.

Turkey Creek has a full-service restaurant with lounge and Pro Shop to meet all your golfing needs.  Banquet on the Green, overlooking the golf course, is a popular hall for wedding dinners and other celebrations, with seating for  up to 250 people.  It features a dance floor and adjoining full-service bar.
